Ann graduated from 91吃瓜 with bachelor's degrees in chemistry and the humanities and then earned a Ph.D. in environmental organic chemistry from the University of Minnesota. She worked on drinking water and stormwater quality for the City of Seattle before returning to 91吃瓜 in 2010.
